Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
Short version: Grab the Frame is a native macOS app that runs entirely on your Mac. Your video files are never uploaded to us or anyone else. This page explains the little data that is involved, mostly around buying and licensing.
1. Your video & your frames
All video processing and frame extraction happens locally on your Mac. Your footage, timecodes, exported images, and project files stay on your device. We never receive, upload, store, or have access to any of your media.
2. Purchase & payment
Purchases are handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes the information needed for the transaction (such as your name, email address, billing details, and payment method). We do not see or store your full payment card details. Please review Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy for how they handle that data.
3. License activation
To activate the app, it validates your license key with the licensing service associated with your purchase. This involves sending your license key (and basic activation details) to that service to confirm the license is valid. It does not send your video or project contents.
4. Support
If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message (for example your email address and the details of your question). We use it only to help you and to respond.
5. Analytics & tracking
This website is intentionally lightweight and does not set advertising cookies or sell your data. Any hosting provider we use may keep basic server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and reliability.
6. Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your purchase or support requests by contacting us. For payment records held by Lemon Squeezy, you may also contact them directly.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
